This Step-In Adventure Harness is sized XL for larger dogs — measure your dog's chest (the widest part, just behind the front legs) to confirm fit before ordering. Instead of adjusting straps over the head, your dog steps in and the 3-way clasp buckles close around them, with a locking mechanism on the right neck buckle for security — great for dogs who don't love things pulled over their head. Yes — since our harnesses sell out fast, exchanges are processed as a return + new order rather than a direct swap, so you're not waiting on restock. Is it machine washable? We don't recommend the washer, but it's easy to hand wash. Rinse with warm or cold water first to remove excess dirt (never hot water), then soak in warm/cold water with a little regular Dawn dish soap or detergent — no hand soaps, since the antibacterial agents in those can damage the material.
